Sample license plates

You may purchase a sample of the current issue graphic design passenger auto license plate from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles. The plate contains the word 'Sample' in black letters. The cost for a sample license plate is $10. A sample, but expired, validation sticker will be applied to the plate, if requested.

You may purchase sample plates by submitting cash, checks or money orders payable to: Registration Fee Trust with your request to:

WisDOT does not make available any other sample license plates.
