The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) provides a number of resources to assist transportation
professionals with their planning efforts. If you have questions or need
additional information on any of the following items, send an email
Corridor studies and plans
Part of WisDOTís long-range transportation plan, Connections
2030, is the identification of a series of system-level
priority corridors. These corridors are critical to
Wisconsinís travel patterns and support the stateís economy.
Information about individual corridor
studies and plans, sorted by transportation region, is also
available on this web site.
Manuals and Guidances
The Transportation Planning Manual is a
web-based tool that facilitates the communication of planning policy
and serves as a planning information resource.
WisDOT has developed planning guidances for the development of
pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
Local consultation The
Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) consults continually
with local officials in areas of the state that are not served by
metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs).
You will need the Adobe Reader (provided free of charge) to view PDF files. For more information
about getting your free copy of the Adobe Reader, visit WisDOT's Software information page.
